Gardenpost

I love gardening and repurposing.  I get really happy when the two come together in a creation that I make and fits in my garden. This garden post is one of those projects. I recently made ten to be used at a wedding.  They were to be used to line a walk way.  We made hanging jars with candles to illuminate the path.  These garden posts have lots of uses.  Besides being planted into the soil to hold candles, they could easily be given a base to hold candles, signs or wreaths.

Last summer I visited the Restore (Habitat For Humanity) in Dallas and found these wonderful spindles for less than a dollar each.  I have used many of them on other projects but had plenty left to make these garden posts.  I used ones that were already painted white which made this a really fast project.

There are only three parts to this project.  The spindle, a finial, which I glued to the top and a hook.  It is so easy I was almost reluctant to blog about it.  After I saw the pictures though I knew I wanted to share it. Sometimes simple is wonderful.

This is another view of the garden post in action.  It would also be great for holding signs and wreaths.

Multiples of objects has always fascinated me.  If one is great I will love three that much more.  Wouldn’t these look great lining a driveway for a party or around the edge of a pool.

The sweet little mason jars can be found in a recent post we did HERE!

This project is very easy but can be very high impact.  These posts can be used for many purposes.
